Age Requirement: you must be 13 on race day to compete.

USA Triathlon member: All athletes must be members of USAT to compete in this event. If you do not have an annual membership, you must purchase a one-day membership for $15 (which is done during the registration process).

Race Day Cancellation and/or Changes: 

In the event of adverse weather conditions, Acts of God, or unforeseen circumstances preventing the execution of the race as planned, please note the following:

There is no rain date; the event will proceed rain or shine. Management reserves the right to make decisions such as canceling, postponing, rescheduling, altering, modifying the race course, or removing one or more of the legs (swim, bike, or run), or canceling the race entirely. While every effort is made to adhere to the published race course and schedule, various factors and stakeholders may necessitate changes. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided for any entry type, should changes or cancellations occur due to factors beyond our control.

Refund Policy: 

The Cohasset Triathlon offers Registration Protector through our registration platform. If you have registered for the event and cannot participate, there are no refunds unless you have purchased Registration Protector and are in compliance with their terms and conditions. As with all events, proceeds from the event are used to cover the numerous nonrefundable pre and post-race expenses required to produce the event (examples city permits, police and traffic control, security, participant shirts, finisher medals, race bib, timing chips, equipment rental, tents, event staff, signage, event supplies, portable restrooms, etc.).

Deferral Policy:

The Cohasset Triathlon does permit athletes to defer their participation for any reason, subject to a fee of $75. However, this deferral must be requested at least 60 days prior to the race date. Please note that two-year deferrals are not allowed.

Transfer Policy:

The exchange, transfer or sale of a race number (registration) is strictly prohibited. If you wish to give your race number to another athlete we can assist with this through our registration platform so long as both parties notify the event 14 day in advance of race day.
