“The community of people really makes this race. Super friendly staff. The magic was in the mix of athletes really enjoying the day together. At first I thought the mix of weekend warriors, kids, and families, and more serious types would clash on what is a tight crowded course …but it was just the opposite. It was the friendliest athlete on athlete Tri experience of my life. No complaints, no yelling, no accusations of drafting, no swimming over people, none of the athlete on athlete “friction” that you often see at large events. It all made for a very enjoyable day.”
“Just wanted to take this moment to also say thank you for an incredible event. It was my first time doing a full triathlon and the race was filled with officials and spectators who were so welcoming and so wonderful. I had a smile the whole time just because of all the people and the beautiful views. I also loved the moment of silence at the beginning, I would encourage it! “I moved to Scituate three years ago, and yesterday was my third Cohasset Tri. I continue to be so impressed by the community you and your team have built. Three years ago, I didn’t know anyone - yesterday, I couldn’t walk more than a few feet without bumping into someone I knew: parents from my kids’ school, neighbors, friends of friends from random group chats… it was very cool.
I’m sure you hear this a lot, but I really appreciate the attention to detail - it’s what makes this the best way to kick off summer around here. See you next year!”
