It is hard to imagine a more scenic or well-suited place for a triathlon than Cohasset, Massachusetts. The town’s coast is lined with rocky cliffs and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Boston off in the distance. According to race director Bill Burnett, “Cohasset offers a perfect venue for a multi-sport event. Athletes should expect a safe and fast course with lots of cheers along the way”.
The second annual Cohasset Tri will consist of a .25 mile ocean swim, followed by a 12.5 mile bike course and finally a 3.2 mile run. Athletes of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
The Cohasset Tri is expected to draw both first-time triathlon participants as well as ranked elite athletes. Athletes will participate from all over the country, including Texas and California. The Cohasset Tri is thrilled to partner with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to help kids with the lifelong disease. The events net proceeds will go directly to JDRF, and participants are encouraged to gather sponsors to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes and its life-threatening complications. The Cohasset Tri will truly be a great event for a terrific cause.
