Tri4Jett is a triathlon team that races to raise funds and awareness for Jett Foundation, a Plymouth-based nonprofit dedicated to extending and enriching the lives of young people impacted by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The organization was founded by Christine and Stephen McSherry of Pembroke in honor of their son, Jett McSherry, who at age 22 is in the fight of his life with a disease that has an average mortality rate of around 18. The Tri4Jett team joins Jett’s fight by raising funds for Jett Foundation’s efforts in advocacy, research, education, and direct service programming. The foundation’s summer camps for those with neuromuscular disorders, Duchenne educational workshops, high school and college mentoring program, and gift-matching fund for accessible equipment–among many other vital services–empower individuals with Duchenne and their families.
Please email Bill Burnett with any questions how to help join and/or support this team.
